Turkey Trouble

This happened towards the end of our 2 week Florida trip, filled with amusement parks and shopping without any rest- at all.

We were in Disney World Magic Kingdom, and we just kept on walking around and waiting in hour long lines, my mom and sister completely forgot about lunch. So of course from walking around all day with no food in my stomach I got reallly tired and hungry.

I was so hungry that I barely even noticed that I was eating a HUGE turkey leg in front of A LOT of people during a Disney World parade!

Before I knew it, there were a lot of people staring at me with my greased up caveman looking Turkey leg. I guess what they did to take the "awkwardness" out was that they asked me where I bought it...

What can I say? This is what happens to a kid that's hungry.

PROOF: It takes skill to embarass yourself in public. HAHA!

SutrA Restaurant and Bar

HEY! So my family and I had lunch in Sutra (Where I had my graduation dinner) and this time I remembered to take a picture before ruining the presentation of the food. YAY.
For our appetizers we ordered Chorizos with Garlic and Mushrooms, Escargot Bourguignon, and Foie Gras Salad with Apple Fritters. Yeah, a lot for our appetizers- we were REALLY HUNGRY, what can i say?
It was the first time for my younger sister to try the Escargot, and we made her try it as a joke (in a way) and she ended up liking it A LOT. She liked it so much that she finished all of them and ordered 2 more orders of Escargot after that!
and then the main course……

I ordered Tenderloin Steak with Mashed Potatoes with Bearnaise sauce. What I super loved about this dish was that the steak was juicy and very tender while the potatoes were made so smooth and BUTTERY. YUMM!!!

For dessert:
Strawberry Tiramisu- This is a recipe that replaces the coffee flavor of the classic tiramisu with strawberries. It has a rich creamy flavor, with spongey light lady fingers on the side. Instead of the dark tones of the classic tiramisu, the strawberries add color to the dessert that makes it the perfect multi-layered treat for summer and spring.
Fudge Brownie- Rich chocolate brownie served with vanilla ice cream and fruits that are in season.
Ube Panna Cotta- The traditional flavor  of Panna Cotta infused with a bit of Filipino flavor- Ube jam. Ube is a Filipino favorite snack food that is made out of purple yam root that is grated, then mixed with condensed milk and butter.

Outfit shot 2

Since it was a “photo shoot” outing with my friends, I wanted to look chic yet simple. It was a really hot day so my usual color of black was out of the picture. So I just decided to wear a white polo made with very light/thin cloth and denim shorts that has a subtle leopard print.
What I love about my shorts is that, even though my shorts do have animal print, it doesn’t scream out WHOA- but it’s still enough to make a statement.
The outfit that I chose to wear was simple so I added in a little bit of blue and gold to put some color into my outfit. My white bracelet is rimmed with the color gold, and on the other wrist I was wearing a gold wrap around bracelet. As for the hints of blue, my heels are plain blue, and my hat has a cloth wrapped around it of the color blue as well.
Thank goodness for my red lipstick and shades, if it weren’t for them I’d probably look really worn out.
Hail to a dab of lipstick to put an outfit together!

Obsessing over Oxfords

I bought this new clutch from Call It Spring today, and I immediately started to think "A pair of studded Oxfords would go perfectly with these for school" so now- im obsessed.

Oxfords can be used anywhere with anything! You don't even have to be a student to wear Oxfords anymore. I've convinced myself that it's a necessity nowadays. Comfort and style all wrapped up together in a pair of shoes.

Outfit shot 1

These shots were taken on the side of the street with the wall of a building as a background so you could just imagine how embarrassed I would be when people would pass by— but luckily, I had my two friends with me that have the exact same objectives as me:
1. New profile picture
2. Blog posts
AND also because THERE WERE BARELY ANY PEOPLE (which of course made it less awkward for me)
In this outfit I am wearing a cape from Haze, top from Promod, shorts from Zara, bracelets from Aldo, and shoes from Guess.

Rock and Rollercoasters

In the Rip Ride Rockit rollercoaster of Universal Orlando, you can choose a song that can be played throughout your whole rollercoaster ride. For me, I chose the song Bring Me To Life by Evanescence If you're a 90's child, shame on you if you dont know this song (so listen to it). If you're not a 90's child... then you're not.

The song starts when you're right about to exit the tunnel. So because the ride was literally VERTICAL going up, I decided to sing the song like crazy to try and get all the horrile thoughts out of my head- such as:

-I'm gonna die
- What am I doing here?!
-What if I slip out of the seat
-What if the rollercoaster goes haywire
-I'm gonna die

As the beginning of the chorus started to play "Bring. Me. To.....", I didn't even realize that I was at the peak of the rollercoaster!

So when the rolercoaster dropped, I yelled out the perfect word from the song..

"LIIIIIIIIIIIIFFEEEEEE!!!!!"

It was one of the best rollercoasters, just because I felt like I was in a movie with an awesome background song, with coincidentally perfect timing.
